Our team would like to take a moment and reflect on the year of 2017. We want to give thanks for the amazing partnerships and incredible experiences we were so privileged to be a part of. To all of those on our Arara Language Solutions team, and to all of those with whom we have been so lucky to work with, thank you!
Just how great was 2017? Well for those working alongside us, we know that you’ve seen the unimaginable growth we’ve undergone since our humble beginnings in 2015. However, 2017 was an exceptionally fortuitous year!
In 2017, our team of interpreters and translators was double that of our original number of language professionals in 2015! Not only did our team multiply, so did our earnings. We netted 40% greater earnings in our first semester than our annual earnings in 2016. With growth came recognition, as we were nominated a second year in a row for the Small Business of the Year Awards as a Best New Business by the Roanoke Regional Chamber of Commerce; and by no less than eight nominations!
And with expansion came better and more diverse services! Our team members became certified in a myriad of fields, including several who were newly certified in nursing programs across the state of Virginia. Many of our own interpreters became certified through the Bridging the Gap medical interpreter training. Our language services followed suit, and began reaching more areas of need, including more school systems and even mental health facilities in the region. We worked with numerous new clients across (and beyond) the Greater Roanoke Valley’s mountain ridges, including a new partnership with Roanoke City Public Schools.
To the interpreters and translators that made our success in 2017 possible, we’d like to say thank you for the amazing teamwork! And to the clients and partners who have grown alongside our company, or are just now a part of our network: thank you for believing in us!
